CAMDEN, South Carolina — The Nation's No. 2-ranked women's basketball recruit in the Class of 2024 according to ESPN's HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings, officially committed to South Carolina on Wednesday.
Five-star forward Joyce Edwards from Camden High School chose the Gamecocks during an press conference in her hometown of Camden, S.C., after teasing her announcement on social media on Monday.
WWL Louisiana sister-station WLTX was at the commitment ceremony to capture the moment the 6-foot-2 Bulldogs' senior selected No. 1 South Carolina (2-0) over the NCAA's defending national champions and current seventh-ranked Tigers (2-1) and unranked Clemson (3-0), two schools that were also in the final mix.
