UNO Baseball cancels game at Southern following deadly storms that swept area Monday night

According to UNO officials, the game against the Jaguars will not be made up.

BATON ROUGE, La. — The New Orleans Privateers announced its final midweek game scheduled against the Southern Jaguars was canceled in the aftermath of severe storms that claimed at least three lives in Louisiana on Monday night.

New Orleans (29-22), who is coming off a 2-1 weekend at Northwestern State, need to close the season with a sweep against the Lamar Cardinals (38-12) on the Lakefront at Maestri Field and a Nicholls' (32-19) loss to McNeese (26-22) to secure at least a share of the Southland Conference regular-season championship.

Meanwhile, Southern (22-26) will also close their regular season at home against Grambling (20-25) with a series starting Thursday.

According to UNO officials, the game against the Jaguars will not be made up.
