CANCÚN, Quintana Roo — Sam Hines Jr. scored 17 points as Southeastern Louisiana beat North Dakota 76-60 to close the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya on Wednesday.
Hines also had five rebounds for the Lions (3-4).
Brody Rowbury added 13 points while going 3-of-9 and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line while they also had eight rebounds.
Jakevion Buckley shot 4-of-8 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line to finish with 12 points.
The Fightin' Hawks (3-4) were led by Amar Kuljuhovic, who posted 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Treysen Eaglestaff added 13 points for North Dakota.
Dariyus Woodson also recorded 11 points and two blocks.
The final four games of Southeastern's 10-game road trip will all take place within the state of Louisiana, starting on Monday as the Lions head to New Orleans for a date with Tulane.
Monday's game against the Green Wave (4-3), who also participated in this year's Cancun Challenge, is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.
