NEW ORLEANS — The Sugar Bowl Committee announced on Thursday that the 2025 Allstate Sugar Bowl has been officially sold out for the Jan. 1 game, which doubles as a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup.

The 91st annual Sugar Bowl Classic will feature more than 68,000 fans (current capacity is 68,400) for the 68th time in its history

Despite the sellout, the committee encourages fans still looking to purchase tickets to visit Ticketmaster, the games' official verified resale platform.

This is the fifth time the Sugar Bowl has doubled as a CFP playoff game – the first four as a semifinal during the four-team postseason format from 2014-2023.

This season marks the debut of the 12-team College Football Playoff.

“The expanded College Football Playoff is great news for the Sugar Bowl, New Orleans, and Louisiana,” said Jeff Hundley, the chief executive officer of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. “Selling out this quickly emphasizes that point.  Starting with this year’s game, the Allstate Sugar Bowl will carry national significance and excitement on an annual basis. And that should translate into a lot of positives for everyone involved.”

The 2024-25 postseason bracket will be released by the CFP Selection Committee on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m.
