NEW ORLEANS — A tribute to remember the well-known Joe Jaeger, New Orleans hotelier and developer, will be held on Friday, June 28, at Mardi Gras World.
Jaeger passed away at the age of 77, after he succumbed to injuries he sustained in a vehicle crash near his home in Folsom, Louisiana.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and a memorial service will follow. The tribute will be held in the River City Ballroom.
"From humble roots, this unflappable young plumber from the Ninth Ward with a legendary work ethic became an owner of MCC Group by age 36," the release said.
He owned several properties in the city including the Jung Hotel, the Bourbon Orleans, and the blighted Plaza Tower. Jaeger owned more hotels in the French Quarter than any other developer.
Parking is available at Convention Center Lot F, with shuttle service to and from the venue.
