NEW ORLEANS -- Several area churches and organizations offer to-go and dine-in meals of fried fish and sides during the season of Lent.
The meals are usually served on Fridays, but some frys occur on other days of the week. Many menus have grown to include additional options like fried shrimp or seafood gumbo as well as non-traditional items like pizza and spaghetti.
