NEW ORLEANS — For the 5th month in a row, WWL-TV dominated the morning show landscape by ranking #1 (in both households and adults 25-54) at 4:30 a.m., 5:00 a.m., and 6 a.m. In fact, in adults 25-54, the 6 a.m. show ranked as the #1 morning newscast out of all local stations.

The wins continued at noon, when WWL-TV garnered the #1 newscast both in households and in adults 25-54. The Eyewitness News at Noon is so popular with viewers that it’s the highest rated local newscast throughout the entire day.

The Eyewitness News also took the top spot at 6 p.m., beating the competition with a 6.5 household rating and ranking #1 with adults 25-54 (Source: Nielsen April 25-May 22, 2019)

“You won’t find gimmicks here. We don’t scare the audience with sensationalized crime coverage or send alerts to your phone begging you to watch our newscasts”, says WWL-TV News Director Keith Esparros. “We aim to serve the community with news and information needed to make important decisions for their families”. “And our digital platforms reach even more people. When you include those who get their news from WWL-TV, wwltv.com, and our social media, our competitors don’t even come close.”
