NEW ORLEANS -- A P-T 305 torpedo boat is hitting the water this weekend for the first time since WWII.
The National World War II Museum restored the boat and is offering rides on Lake Pontchartrain. This is the only fully restored combat veteran PT boat in operation in the world.
Only on Saturdays and with limited availability, the 90-minute tour is open to anyone 12 or older. There is a discount for military and museum members. The boat is not ADA accessible.
Deck tours are also available Wednesday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last tour begins at 3 p.m. each day.
The deck tours last about 45 minutes and are open to anyone 12 or older.
