BATON ROUGE, La. — In an effort to ensure respect and uniformity for flags flying over the State Capitol and other public departments and institutions, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signed an executive order that "recognizes the policies and procedures that apply to all flags" including the state flag, Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) flag and U.S. flag.

The EO was signed Friday in Baton Rouge detailing times, order and protocols flags are to be flown in the state.

“The United States flag is a sign of freedom and hope across our Nation and across the world," Landry stated. "Louisiana will always honor our flags with the utmost respect.
