LOUISIANA, USA — Cleo Fields is projected to win the 6th Congressional District seat.

Current 6th district representative Garrett Graves did not run for re-election after his district was re-drawn. A U.S. Supreme Court ruling said the Louisiana Congressional map violated the Voting Rights Act and ordered the state to create a second Black-majority district.

One Republican, Elbert Guillory, and four Democrats—Quentin Anthony Anderson, Cleo Fields, Wilken Jones, Jr., and Peter Williams—were also eyeing the position.
