NEW ORLEANS — Traffic cameras in New Orleans' school zones are going on a summer vacation.
The City of New Orleans announced Wednesday that all school zone traffic cameras will pause writing tickets at 4:45 p.m. Friday, May 24.
The announcement said the cameras will begin tracking violations again sometime in August, although a specific date has not yet been set.
The city says that the cameras will still be active for other law enforcement purposes.
