NEW ORLEANS — WWL Louisiana's very own two-time 'Jeopardy!' champion Ittai Sopher returns to compete in the $100,000 Champions Wildcard elimination tournament this week.
But first, Sopher took a break from his work as a digital and television producer to chat with colleague and WWL Louisiana News at Noon anchor Leslie Spoon about his experience on the hugely popular syndicated trivia game show.
"All of these games have been really tight competitions because you have people who have already won on the show, so there's not a doubt in the group," said Sopher, who traveled to Los Angeles earlier this month to film the tournament and is sworn to secrecy as to the results. "It's going to be a hard match for me, honestly."
Before his interview with Spoon, Sopher had some fun with his co-workers on the Morning News.
"I taped it a few weeks ago," Sopher admitted slyly. "And honestly, I was so nervous I really can't remember any of it. I probably don't even know the results."
In New Orleans, 'Jeopardy!' airs on Friday at 6 p.m.
