NEW ORLEANS — A float in the Rex parade caused a big delay after it got stuck underneath a tree.
It happened on Fat Tuesday along the Uptown parade route.
Video captured by a parade-goer shows the moment the Krewe of Rex float got wedged under the Live Oak tree branch. It is not clear where this happened along the parade route.
The video shows the top of the float colliding with a large branch as it tries to pass under the tree. The incident also caused a short delay in the parade. The float eventually was freed and continued rolling down the route.
Few details are available as to what led to the collision with the tree.
