METAIRIE, La. — A vehicle fire on I-10 in Metairie caused major delays for drivers heading westbound on Sunday.
Emergency crews and firefighters were quick on the scene. At its height, the fire had three right lanes blocked on I-10 West before the Clearview Parkway exit according to DOTD.
It is unclear if anyone was injured in the fire or what caused the blaze. The vehicle was completely engulfed as commuters passed cautiously. DOTD reports the right lane is blocked as crews move the charred vehicle.
