NEW ORLEANS — Two men were arrested by Troop Nola State Police after they led police on a chase through Mid-City.
As our partners at The Times-Picayune report, 20-year-olds Harold Jerome and David Hall were in a black Infiniti near Esplanade Avenue and North Miro Street at about 6:45 p.m. Friday.
Troopers patrolling the area initiated a traffic stop but then the men sped away, state police said.
A chase ensued but the men later crashed into a Lexus SUV at Broad and Banks streets.
Jerome and Hall then fled on foot but were eventually caught by troopers on foot.
Troopers say a gun was tossed out the car window during the chase which was later recovered.
The driver of the hit Lexus was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The two men were booked into the Orleans Parish jail Friday evening on several charges including aggravated flight from an officer, obstruction of justice, hit and run driving, and additional drugs and weapons charges.
