NEW ORLEANS — The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans announced a temporary lane closure beginning on Monday in the 1200 block of Convention Center Boulevard between Calliope and Gaiennie streets for approximately three weeks.
According to the S&WB, the closure is necessary to make repairs to a sewer main.
Signage and traffic control barrels and fencing will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.
Motorists are advised to use caution as large trucks and heavy machinery will be hauling materials in the area.
The roadway is expected to reopen on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m.
