NEW ORLEANS — The WWL Louisiana Parade Tracker app is officially ready for download from your app store on Apple and Android phones.
It’s loaded with all the 2024 carnival parade routes from Houma to Uptown to Covington to Slidell from now through Mardi Gras Day.
The app tells you how many floats you can expect, if there’s a holdup on the route, and once it’s available to the public, what the parade’s theme is.
Whether you prefer the sidewalk side or neutral ground side, when those parades roll, you might spot our tracker at the very front, sending real-time GPS information to the app.
Of course, this year we’re staying on top of any changing routes.
Remember, Endymion is extending its route, weaving through the CBD to pass Gallier Hall.
Carnival starts this Saturday. It’s a short season this year, so there are parades every weekend except Jan. 13.
On Twelfth Night, as is tradition, the Krewe of Joan of Arc will march through the French Quarter.
Of course, the WWL Louisiana Parade Tracker app will tell you when and where you can catch it. You can download the app for free right now.
