Temporary lane closures expected in Metairie as crews replace a sewer pipe

The parish said the emergency closure is necessary to replace a broken sewer pipe in the neighborhood.

METAIRIE, La. — Residents in Jefferson Parish can expect some traffic delays in Metairie as work crews replace a broken sewer pipe.

The left lane of westbound West Napoleon Avenue between Transcontinental Drive and Kent Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. on Monday through 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

The parish said on Tuesday at 7 p.m., both lanes of westbound West Napoleon Avenue will also be closed through 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

Drivers should detour south to West Metairie Avenue or north to Veterans Boulevard. The parish said the emergency closure is necessary to replace a broken sewer pipe in the neighborhood.
