Throughout the year, we host a number of fairs and festivals including the Independence Sicilian, Amite Oyster, Ponchatoula Strawberry, and Tickfaw Italian Festival. The Hammond Smokin’ BBQ Challenge takes place in the midst of these festivals making the start of spring invigorating. It doesn’t stop there, in October we have the oldest fair in the state, the Tangipahoa Parish Fair, which is followed in November, by the Renaissance Festival for six consecutive weekends. These fairs and festival are perfect for family time and pure enjoyment.
