9 Tangipahoa Parish schools closed Friday due to boil water advisory

School officials said the schools have little to no water pressure from their local water service.

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. — Some schools in Tangipahoa Parish will remain closed due to a boil water advisory. School officials said nine schools will be closed on Friday.

Officials said the schools have little to no water pressure from their local water service. "They are under a boil advisory," officials said in an email.

Here are the schools that will remain closed Thursday:

  • O.W. Dillon
  • Kentwood High
  • Sumner Middle
  • Sumner High
  • Chesbrough
  • Spring Creek
  • Loranger Elementary
  • Loranger Middle
  • Loranger High

The district will continue to update employees, students, and families through email, text, TPSS App, social media, and local radio stations (TANGI 96.5 FM, Kajun 107.1, and Lake 94.7) as changes occur.
