St. John Parish activates debris removal services

Debris collection will start on Friday.
If you live in St. John Parish, your home was damaged, and you don't have insurance or enough insurance, the parish sas there is help available.

St. John Parish President Jaclyn Hotard activated debris removal services post Hurricane Francine.

The debris collection will start on Friday, September 20.

Residents must follow these specific guidelines regarding Hurricane Francine-related debris. Residents are asked to separate debris into the following categories: 

  • Household Garbage
  • Construction Debris
  • Vegetation Debris 
  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Household Appliances 
  • Electronics

"Please place your debris piles at the curb in the public right-of-way in front of your home," St. John Parish said. "Do not place debris against trees, poles, mailboxes, fire hydrants, utility pedestals, or under low-hanging power lines."
