HAHNVILLE, La. – Dow Chemical Company says no one was hurt in building fire at its St. Charles Parish location Friday morning.
Around 12:30 p.m. the company gave the all-clear for employees.
According to a statement released on the company’s Facebook page, non-essential employees have been evacuated from the site “out of an abundance of caution." At 9:20 a.m., the company reported that the fire had been extinguished.
"We are still managing an event on site," the company said. No injuries were reported.
“We will provide further updates as appropriate,” the statement says.
