St. Charles Ave bank robbery suspect caught on surveillance camera

NEW ORLEANS — Police are searching for a man caught on surveillance camera robbing the Chase Bank on St. Charles Avenue in the CBD.

According to the FBI, the unidentified suspect entered the bank on March 2 around 11:15 a.m. and told the teller he had a gun, then demanded money.

He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. 

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'5" to 5'10", and weighing about 150-170 lbs. FBI officials say he's about 35-40 years old and was wearing blue jeans, a black baseball cap and carried a black and blue backpack.
