CHALMETTE, La. — Eight-time Pro Bowl defensive end and three-time NFL All-Pro Cam Jordan made his weekly visit to a local school this week just two days after the New Orleans Saints ended a seven-game losing streak with a 20-17 win over archrival Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
This week, Jordan visited Lacoste Elementary School in Chalmette, and before crossing the St. Bernard Parish line, the 6-foot-4, 290-pound 35-year-old took to social media to see what's the best thing to eat locally.
"Headed to a school visit in Chalmette," he posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday. "Best thing to eat?"
As of 4 p.m., Jordan received more than 120 comments from the Who Dat Nation resulting in a majority suggesting the fried chicken and famous macaroni and cheese from Rocky & Carlo's Restaurant & Bar, located at 13 West St. Bernard Highway, or delectable catfish, oyster and shrimp dishes from Today's Ketch Seafood & Restaurant at 2110 East Judge Perez Drive.
Other notable eateries mentioned, included Brewster's Restaurant (8751 W Judge Perez Dr), Tag's Meat Market & Deli (1207 E Judge Perez Dr) and Kitchen Table Cafe in Arabi (7005 St Claude Ave).
No word yet on where No. 94 went, or what he ate, but no doubt a visit to any one of the places suggested would result in a meal worthy of a Saint.
