67-year-old man with medical condition found after family reports him missing, LSP says

Family says judgment may be impaired due to condition.

NEW ORLEANS — UPDATE: The 'Silver Alert' has been rescinded. Louisiana State Police said the missing man was located and was being transported to the hospital for evaluation.

A 'Silver Alert' has been issued by the Louisiana State Police on Friday.

According to the LSP, 67-year-old Kenneth Porter was last seen walking away from his home in the 7500 block of Trapier Avenue in New Orleans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

State police described Porter as a Black man with brown eyes and grey hair. He is said to be 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and blue or white tennis shoes.

Family members said Porter suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment. 

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the New Orleans Police Department at 504-658-6070 or dial 911.
