According to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas received a one-week suspension for violating NFL rules last year.

"Officially, it’s a personal conduct policy violation," Rapoport posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). "It stems from his arrest in November of 2023."

The arrest Rapoport referenced refers to an incident that occurred in Kenner when Thomas allegedly threw a brick and shoved a man.

Kenner Police arrested Thomas for simple battery and criminal mischief.

The Saints released the 31-year-old Thomas in March after an eight-year run in New Orleans that peaked in 2019 when the two-time First-team All-Pro caught a league-record 149 passes.

Since then, the 2016 second-round pick out of Ohio State has spent the majority of the past four seasons sidelined by injuries, including an ankle injury that forced him to miss most of 2020 and the entirety of 2021, followed by a foot injury that caused him to miss all but the first three games of 2022.

Thomas is currently a free agent.
