NEW ORLEANS – On July 9, 1982, Pan Am Flight 759 crashed into a Kenner neighborhood shortly after takeoff from New Orleans International Airport.
All 145 people on board the Boeing 727 and eight people on the ground were killed in the disaster.
On the 35th anniversary of the crash, WWL-TV takes a look back at what happened that day.
