NEW ORLEANS - Power was out to thousands of customers in several areas of New Orleans on the coldest day of the season so far.
Entergy's outage map showed a peak of around 10,000 customers without power, primarily in the Treme, Seventh Ward, St. Roch and Fairgrounds areas.
Power was restored to everyone except about 30 people by 7 p.m., according to Entergy's outage map. Entergy said crews found a blown jumper, which is a connection between two wires, the utility says. Entergy's website stated that restoration was expected by 8 p.m. and that workers were busy trying to restore the power.
Entergy New Orleans has been plagued with power outages this year, throughout much of the city.
