NOPD: Family reunited with toddler

The family of the found toddler came to the Third District station a short time ago in response to New Orleans news media reports.

The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help with identifying a found toddler.

Police believe the child is 2. The child was found on Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Mirabeau and Paris Avenues.

Police said they searched the neighborhood but were unable to find anyone who knew the toddler.

The child was wearing a red colored shirt, red shorts, and red Nike shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the child is asked to call Third District detectives at 504-658-6030.
