NEW ORLEANS — A surveillance video from a Ring camera has the sound of multiple gunshots being fired in an area near Chef Menteur Highway and Downman Road where a man was found shot to death Wednesday night.
Police responded to the 5900 block of Beechcraft Street where the victim was discovered and pronounced dead on the scene.
In the video you can hear several loud shots and then see someone in the frame running for cover.
Investigators say they are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify who is responsible.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
