City creates 'NOLA Walk of Fame' | Here are the 50 natives to be honored on Canal Street

In a Hollywood style, the trail will feature natives in entertainment, arts, entrepreneurs, and more. NOLA's Walk of Fame is set to be completed by Feb. 6, 2025.

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans will soon have its own 'NOLA Walk of Fame'. The new project aims to honor the city's most influential figures with 50 custom fleur de lis plaques along Canal Street. In a Hollywood style, the trail will feature natives in entertainment, arts, entrepreneurs, and more.

The concept was sparked by Percy 'Master P' Miller, named the city's official Entertainment Ambassador in August by Mayor LaToya Cantrell. The project is set to be completed by Super Bowl LIX.

“As we continue preparations to host Super Bowl LIX, it is of huge importance that we honor and recognize the diverse group of notable individuals who make up the beautiful fabric of our city,” said Mayor LaToya Cantrell.

Renowned local artist Brandan "BMIKE" Odum, will design the inaugural plaque, according to Nola.com. Locals and visitors will be able to see the Walk of Fame on Canal Street by the Saks Fifth Avenue department store.

NOLA's Walk of Fame is set to be completed by Feb. 6, 2025, our partners reported.
