Here's what President Biden ate at Drago's

After touring Tulane's medical facilities, Biden and staffers stopped in Metairie for dinner at Drago's Seafood Restaurant.

METAIRIE, La. — President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden traveled to New Orleans Tuesday to make a major announcement about his cancer research initiative, Cancer Moonshot.

After touring Tulane's medical facilities, Biden and staffers stopped in Metairie for dinner at Drago's Seafood Restaurant.

WWL Louisiana reporter Whitney Miller reported that President Biden ate charbroiled oysters and a cheeseburger.

"When you think about it, chargrilled oysters are kind of unique, and he didn't want to tie up traffic downtown," U.S. Rep. Cedric Richmond said.

Biden spent just over an hour and 30 minutes in the restaurant before returning to the White House.

"It really doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat, but to say that you had the president of our great country here today enjoying Louisiana culture, Louisiana food," Drago's owner Owner Tommy Cvitanovich said.
