Some Entergy customers without power in CBD, Tulane University Medical School

As a result of the outage, Tulane University says non-essential employees can work remotely.

NEW ORLEANS — A power outage in the Central Business District leaves some Entergy customers in the dark, including parts of Tulane University School of Medicine, according to Orleans Parish.

The outage reportedly started at 1555 Poydras Street and 1315 Gravier Street. Up to 65 customers did not have power at first.

As a result of the outage, Tulane University announced non-essential employees will work remotely. 

Entergy has not said when the power could be restored.
