Owner of Wrong Iron Rusty White tells the media that around halftime, it started to rain.

NEW ORLEANS — Derrian Martin was at Wrong Iron on the Greenway Sunday when the sky opened up around halftime.

“So, everybody kind of went, well, at least the women kind of went underneath the patio just to get the covering from the rain," Martin said.

Martin said from her vantage point, she saw more than 100 people on the patio, when all of a sudden, she heard a noise.

“It was a loud like boom noise, and at first I was trying to figure out if the table had broken, but when I looked a little closer, I actually got a video, when I looked closer, I saw the floor had actually caved in," Martin said.

One of the owners of the bar, Rusty White, said the building is five years old.

“We’re still trying to assess the situation, but you know the fire department was called, EMS was called, police were called. We shut the bar down and got everybody out of here in an orderly manner," White said.

When we spoke to White around 3 p.m., he was unaware of any injuries.

NOPD later reported that one adult male was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and four others were treated on the scene.

The bar posted on Instagram that they will be closed until further notice.

"When building Wrong Iron, we worked closely with an engineering firm and professional construction company to ensure the facility was built to the highest standards. In light of today's incident, we will be thoroughly evaluating the original plans and conducting a full investigation," Wrong Iron said in a post on Instagram.

Many fans, including Martin, went across the street to Bayou Beer Garden to watch the remainder of the game.

“I thought the Saints were going to pull a win, but I have faith that we’re going to continue to win through the rest of the season," Martin said.
