Entergy says dead tree limbs caused Uptown power outage

That outage centered around the Marlyville – Fontainebleau neighborhood.

NEW ORLEANS — Nearly 2,000 Entergy customers were without power in Uptown on Wednesday. Entergy said, "the cause is believed to be dead tree limbs that fell onto a primary wire."

49 customers remain without service, according to Entegy.

There was another outage earlier in the English Turn area that has been resolved. 

“Separately, we are investigating a brief outage that impacted the English Turn neighborhood for approximately thirty minutes this morning," Entergy officials said." "The cause is unknown at this time.”
