ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — Authorities say two St. Tammany Parish men face child pornography charges after being arrested by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry announced Tuesday that 72-year-old Peter Torrey and 52-year-old Chris Matherne were both booked into the St. Tammany Parish Detention Center.
Landry said Torrey faces 100 counts of possession of pornography involving children under the age of 13 years old. Matherne was booked on nine counts of distribution of pornography involving children under the age of 13.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about either man is asked to contact the Cyber Crime Unit at 800-256-4506.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, Mandeville Police Department, Homeland Security Investigators and the Slidell Police Department assisted in the arrests.
