"Members of our Operations Division are out in the area of Highway 1077 and Donnie Roading this morning doing welfare checks," STPSO said Thursday morning. "Be Safe; Stay off Flooded Roads" the department added.

According to WWL Louisiana's meteorologists, storms are expected on Thursday; although rain is not projected to be as severe as on Wednesday.

"Most pick up between 1 to 3 inches and any additional rain could lead to flooding," WWL Meteorologist Payton Malone said on Thursday. "Also, something to note is the threat for a few storms including gusty winds and even an isolated tornado."
