SLIDELL, La. — Two people are dead, and another is in the hospital after a head-on crash on the Highway 11 overpass in Slidell, according to local police.
Slidell Police said a car crossed into the southbound lane Friday night at around 9 p.m., crashing into a car driving in the other direction. The crash killed both Jennifer Hemphill, 40, and Joshua Williams, 39, who were traveling together.
The driver of the other car in the crash was flown to University Medical Center, police said Saturday morning that he or she was in critical condition.
Slidell Police did not immediately release the name of the person traveling southbound.
