Police evacuate students, faculty at Bogalusa High after school shooting threat

After investigating police did not find a shooter or any evidence of a bomb on campus.

BOGALUSA, La. — The Bogalusa Police Department evacuated students faculty at Bogalusa High after a threat of a school shooting. 

Police say immediately evacuated students and faculty and while they were on the scene their was another threat that a bomb was on campus. 

After investigating police did not find a shooter or any evidence of a bomb on campus.

"The Bogalusa Police Department takes threats of this magnitude very seriously and it will be investigated as such," said a statement from the Police Department. 

Several law enforcement agencies participated in the activity, including:  Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police, Louisiana office of Probation and Parole and the Rayburn Correctional Center.
