ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in St. Tammany Parish on Thursday.
According to Louisiana State Police, around 4 p.m., 63-year-old Richard Nash of Bush was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on LA Hwy 41 when he crashed into the driver of the Chevrolet, who made a left turn directly into his path.
Nash was wearing a DOT-approved helmet. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
"Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, but as part of the ongoing investigation, routine toxicology samples were obtained for analysis," police said.
