NEW ORLEANS — Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L are investigating a crash that killed a 24-year-old Loranger man Friday night.
According to State Police, 24-year-old Timothy Warden Jr. was walking along Highway 10 near North Jackson Road in Northern Tangipahoa Parish at around 6 p.m. Friday. Simultaneously, a 2017 GMC Yukon was going eastbound on Highway 10.
The GMC then hit Walden Jr., causing him to sustain life threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. The driver of the GMC was uninjured.
Investigators don't believe that impairment played a factor, and toxicology samples were taken from both Walden Jr. and the driver of the GMC.
The crash is still under investigation.
