COVINGTON, La. -- Four people have now been arrested in connection with a murder at the Green Springs Motel, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
According to the sheriff's office, Brandon Washington, 32, was fatally shot at the motel on Highway 21 on Oct. 4.
"The investigation revealed that 27-year-old, Terry Hookfin, 18-year-old, Tyreek Sandifer, 19-year-old, Demetri James, and 37-year-old, Devin Decoud, all went to the Green Springs Motel to rob Brandon Washington. At some point during the robbery, Demetri James shot Washington to death," said a statement from the sheriff's office.
Hookfin was arrested on Oct. 5, and James was identified as suspect on Oct. 7. The last suspect, James, was taken into custody Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
All four will be charged with first-degree murder, the sheriff's office. They are all being held at the St. Tammany Parish Jail. A bond has yet to be set.
