Five arrested, one at-large after Bogalusa burglary

According to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, a parish resident came home on Nov. 20 to find vehicle backed up to his front door with several people loading items into it.

BOGALUSA -- Five suspects were arrested for their allegedly role in the theft of guns, cash and jewelry from a Bogalusa home. One suspect remains at-large.

According to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, a parish resident came home on Nov. 20 to find a vehicle backed up to his front door with several people loading items into it.

The burglars drove away and the home owner gave chase, but eventually lost sight of them.
Later, detectives investigating the crime saw Dustin Stanley Bailey, 35, driving in the area and pulled him over, finding some of the stolen cash in his car. Police say he confessed to burglarizing the home.

The investigation led to four more arrests, according to police. One suspect, Jason Todd Grimes, is being sought as a fugitive. Any person who knows his location is asked to call Detective Kody Glenn as (985) 839-3434. A reward is offered for information leading to his arrest.

Dustin Stanley Bailey remains in the Washington Parish Jail with his bond set at $175,000. He is charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling, theft of six firearms, theft of more than $25,000, and criminal conspiracy to burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

Chelsie Lynn Bourne, 25, remains in jail with her bond set at $10,000. She is charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Joshua C. Grimes, 32, remains in jail with his bond set at $16,500. He is charged with possession of Schedule III drugs, two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances with a weapon present and two counts of contempt of court.

Stacey Todd Grimes, 48, remains in jail with his bond set at $10,000. He is charged with obstruction of justice and being an accessory after the fact. Stacey Todd Grimes drove his son, identified as Jason Todd Grimes, 24, to Mississippi to avoid arrest, according to police.

Brandon Michael Miller, 27, is in the Washington Parish Jail charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling, eight counts of theft of firearms, theft of more than $25,000, criminal conspiracy to burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and eight counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. At this time, no bond has been set for Miller.
