INDEPENDENCE, La. — Authorities say five people were arrested in connection with an early morning shooting in Tangipahoa Parish that left one man dead on Wednesday.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened at a home on Crossover Road in the early morning hours of Jan. 18. Deputies arriving at the scene found 41-year-old Jason Addison lying on the ground, motionless, suffering from a gunshot wound. Addison died the next day at a hospital.
The sheriff's office said Friday that five individuals had been arrested and booked in connection with the shooting. Mickey Bicknell, 36, was booked on charges of second-degree murder and failure to seek assistance. Jenavive Bicknell, 34, Dylan Sullivan, 31, Cody Reid, 35, and Raven Starkey, 23, were arrested and booked on being principles to second-degree murder and failure to seek assistance.
Chief Jimmy Travis said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the sheriff's office at 985-345-6150. They can also report information anonymously to Crimestoppers of Tangipahoa at 1-800-554-5245.
