List: NOPD Halloween events for the whole family

Some NOPD Districts will host Trunk or Treat events for the community. Here is a list of events by District.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department wants to celebrate a fun and safe Halloween with you.

Some NOPD Districts will host Trunk or Treat events for the community. Here is a list of events by District:

First District: Officers will be joining the Faubourg St. John Neighborhood for its event on Bayou St. John from 5 p.m. -7:30 p.m.

Second District: 3401 Broadway St., Officers will be passing out candy to children who stop by the station, and officers will be out in the neighborhoods distributing candy as well.

Third District: 4650 Paris Ave., Officers will be passing out candy to children who stop by the station and will be out at various neighborhood events.

Fourth District: 2405 Sanctuary Drive, Officers along with PCAB officers in costume will hand out candy and food donated by the officers, COPS 4 Organization, Walgreens, and the neighborhood associations.

Fifth District: 3900 N. Claiborne Ave., Officers will be out in the District passing out candy as they drive the streets.

Sixth District: 1930 Martin Luther King Blvd., Officers will pass out candy at the intersection of South Rampart St. and Martin Luther King Blvd. outside of the Sixth District station.

Seventh District: 10101 Dwyer Rd., Officers will hold a Trunk or Treat event at the station from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Eighth District: 334 Royal Street, Officers will pass out candy to children who stop by the station.
