NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans firefighters responded to a house fire in Algiers Wednesday morning.
WWL Louisiana was on the scene as flames and heavy smoke shot from the roof of the single-story house.
The one-alarm fire happened around 8:47 a.m. in the 1600 block of Elizardi Blvd. Neighbors told us a woman and her dog were able to safely escape the flames. No word yet on what caused the fire. No one was hurt in the fire.
