NEW ORLEANS — Police in New Orleans are investigating after human remains were found Friday morning in a marshy area of Bayou Sauvage.
NOPD classified the case as an “unclassified death” pending an autopsy and further investigation. The victim's identity, age, and gender remain unknown, police said.
Officers discovered the remains near Chef Menteur Highway and Ridgeway Boulevard around 10:34 a.m. according to an initial NOPD report.
