Mud Fest returns to Louisiana Children's Museum

NEW ORLEANS — Kids got the chance to embrace the fun of making a mess on Saturday. The Louisiana Children's Museum hosted its third annual "Mud Fest" at City Park.

There were tons of activities that let kids play in the mud and learn about why mud is important to nature. Parents and children played, explored, and got messy in four heaping truckloads of mud.

The event featured highlights like Café du Mud, Tot Spot, Kid Wash, and a Mudder Run.

Our very own Malik Mingo emceed the main stage lineup which featured performances from Young Heroes Brass Band, Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes and the Louisiana Hotspots, the Big Easy Imaginarium Stilt Walkers, storytelling with Grayhawk Perkins, and an improv performance by Tulane's Unscripted Improv.
