NEW ORLEANS — The Greater New Orleans Foundation received a $1.25 million donation to help with storm relief from Gayle Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, according to Nola.com.

The funding will go to nonprofit government partners like churches, shelters, and food banks, who provide urgent aid after storms or disasters.

GNOF will match the donation to its Disaster Response and Restoration fund.
