NEW ORLEANS — The Central City corner of Saratoga and Erato Streets was officially renamed to the Williams Brothers Way on Wednesday, in honor of Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams, according to Nola.com.
The "honorary" designation recognized the Williams brothers for their achievements as "one of the most successful independent record labels of all time," our partners reported.
Not only was the street renaming special but it also comes before Cash Money Millionaires Essence performance, reuniting and celebrating 30 years.
Cash Money Millionaires will headline the Essence Festival of Culture on Friday, Jul. 5.
